Hoosier Online

You probably came in from your preview

Pull up
a chair.

You already saw the thing. Not a vague “schedule a call and we’ll circle back” thing — the actual direction we’d build. This page is just where you decide whether we seem competent, local, and reasonably unlikely to make your life worse. No fake countdown, no lead-machine fairy tale, no guy in a headset calling your mowing business a “brand ecosystem.”

Who you’re actually dealing with

We’re from here.
That’s sort of the whole point.

Hoosier Online is a small Indiana outfit — not a big agency with a sales floor in some other state, and not a faceless template factory churning out the same five pages for everybody. We’re people, here, who answer our own phone.

We started this because we kept seeing the same thing happen to good local operators — the folks who show up on time, do honest work, and treat customers right. They’d either have nothing online at all, or some dusty old site that made them look closed, or they’d been talked into a sprawling six-week website project they didn’t need and couldn’t keep up with. Meanwhile the actual work was excellent. The front door was just a mess, and it was quietly costing them jobs.

So we built something simpler, and we’ve kept it simple on purpose. The whole idea is to take the uncertainty out of getting online: we show you exactly what we’d make before you spend a dime, in plain language, with a price you can actually see. No jargon, no pressure, no “growth hacking.” Just a clean, honest front door for a business worth knocking on.

Indiana-based. For real. No computer science degree needed on your part. No sales floor, no runaround. Your preview is customized around your business.

Straight talk

A few things we’ll always tell you straight.

No fine print, no asterisks doing the heavy lifting down at the bottom of the page. Here’s how we actually do business.

If you don’t really need us, we’ll say so.

We’d rather lose the sale than talk you into something you’ll regret. A clean front door isn’t the right move for everybody, and if you’re one of the folks who’d be just fine without us, we’ll tell you that to your face instead of taking your money.

Your stuff stays yours.

Your photos, your words, your logo, your customer information — that’s yours, today and always. Your domain too, if it’s registered in your name. The front-door page itself runs on our system, so if you ever decide to move on, we’ll sort out the hand-off together, like neighbors, not like a cell-phone contract.

The price is the price.

No surprise invoices, no “oh, that part’s extra,” no creeping monthly fees you didn’t agree to. You’ll know the whole number before you ever say yes, and it’ll still be that number afterward.

We can’t make your phone ring — and we won’t pretend we can.

There’s no fake “leads guaranteed,” no magic growth engine, no search-ranking promises we’d have to cross our fingers behind our backs to make. What we can do is make sure that when somebody looks you up, you come across as the real, capable operator you already are. The rest is your good work doing what it already does.

You’ll always see it before you pay.

You already did — that preview wasn’t a one-off trick to get your attention. Showing you the actual thing, in plain sight, before any money changes hands, is simply how we do business. If you don’t like what you see, you walk, no hard feelings.

And while we’re being honest

Here’s what this is not.

Plenty of folks in this line of work are happy to let you believe they do everything. We’d rather be clear about the edges, so you know exactly what you’re getting — and what you’re not.

Not a giant agency project.

No twelve-tab website, no six-week timeline, no committee meetings about your hero image.

Not paid advertising.

We don’t run ads or charge you per click. This is your front door, not a billboard rental.

Not a guaranteed lead machine.

Anybody promising you a flood of customers is either guessing or fibbing. We won’t do either.

Not unlimited marketing support.

We do one thing — your online front door — and we try to do it really well, instead of ten things poorly.

Not a replacement for the work.

You still answer the phone, quote the job, and do right by folks. We just make sure they can find and trust you first.

So what do you actually get

It’s one tidy front door for your business.

Nothing fancy — a clean spot online that does the handful of things a local customer needs, so you never have to become “the website person.” Here’s what lives behind that door:

Find you

Show up when a neighbor goes looking on Google or Facebook, and land them in one tidy place instead of a trail of dead links. No more “I couldn’t find you online, so I called the other guy.”

Trust you

Look active, real, and current — not abandoned, not slapped together at midnight in 2015. The kind of presence that makes a stranger comfortable handing you their project.

See your work

Your services, your offers, and your photos laid out so a customer understands what you do and whether you’re right for them inside of a few seconds.

Reach you

One obvious way to call, message, or send a request — not a scavenger hunt across three platforms and an email you haven’t checked since spring.

Book you

A simple path for folks to ask for a quote, request an estimate, or grab a time, with the details you actually need to answer them well.

Pay you

Take a deposit or a payment when it makes sense for the job, without the awkward “so, uh, how do you want me to pay you?” dance.

Tidy the mess

Clean up the obvious broken links, stale posts, wrong hours, and scattered profiles that have been quietly making you look worse than you are.

The honest number

Here’s the price. No homework, no haggling.

You’ll know what it costs before you ever say yes, and it stays that number. Most folks start with Standard — you can always step up to Managed later, and we’ll still be here when you do.

If you decide we’re your people

Here’s exactly what to expect.

No mystery, no runaround. Three steps, and we carry the heavy part.

1

We have a real conversation

No pitch deck. We talk about your trade, your town, the jobs you actually want more of, and the ones you’d happily never take again. If you came from a preview, we’ve already done a good chunk of the homework on you — so mostly we’re just making sure we got you right.

2

We build your front door

You’ve seen the preview, so you already know the shape of it. We turn that into the real thing, get the details honest and accurate, and show it to you again before a single customer ever lays eyes on it. You tell us what to fix; we fix it.

3

You share one link

When you’re happy, you get one clean link to put wherever folks already find you — your Facebook page, your Google profile, the bottom of a text, the back of a business card. That’s the entire chore list. Then you go back to running your business.

Questions you’re probably already asking

The stuff you’d ask if we were sitting across the table.

Do I actually own this?

You own your content outright — your photos, your words, your logo, your customer information. Your domain is yours too, as long as it’s registered in your name. The front-door page itself runs on the Hoosier Online system, the same way your shop might run on rented space rather than land you bought. If you ever want to take things further or move them elsewhere, we’ll talk it through honestly.

What if I decide to leave someday?

Then you leave, and you take your content with you — it was always yours. Because the page runs on our system, we’d work out any export or hand-off together rather than holding your stuff hostage. We’d rather you stay because it’s genuinely working for you, not because leaving is a headache.

Will this actually get me more customers?

We won’t promise that, because nobody honest can. We don’t control whether someone needs your service this week, and we’d be lying if we guaranteed leads, sales, or a spot at the top of Google. What we can promise is that when a potential customer does look you up, you’ll look like someone worth hiring — clear, current, and easy to reach. That’s the part that was costing you jobs.

I’m not a tech person. Is that going to be a problem?

Not even a little. That’s the entire reason this exists. You don’t need to learn a website builder, manage hosting, or fuss with settings. We handle the technical end; you end up with one link to share. If you can send a text message, you can use what we build you.

Why is it so affordable? What’s the catch?

No catch — it’s affordable because it’s focused. We’re not building a sprawling custom agency site with a price tag to match; we’re building one tidy front door, the part that actually matters for a local operator. Doing one thing well, for a lot of folks, lets us keep the number fair.

Do I have to keep paying forever?

Standard includes a full year, then renews at $250 a year or $25 a month — that keeps your page hosted and looked after. Managed includes three months of hands-on service, then renews quarterly or yearly. You’ll always know the renewal number up front, and you can step down or move on. No auto-traps.
